Francisco Vasselucci

Francisco Vassellucci serves as Vice-President Commercial at GranBio since 2019, bringing 35 years of leadership in biochemicals, commodities, and bioenergy. He has a strong track record of fostering relationships across diverse markets, including Latin America, North America, Europe, and the Middle East.
In his current role, Vassellucci leads commercial strategy for 2G ethanol sales, technology licensing, and partnership development. Between 2019 and 2025, he also served as Interim CEO of GranBio LLC in the U.S., overseeing operations at the Thomaston biorefinery and spearheading strategic partnerships to expand market presence and drive revenue growth.
Vassellucci held executive roles at major international agribusiness and energy firms. For 15 years he led the development of the sugar and ethanol business in Latin America for Cargill, followed by a position as Commercial Director at Adecoagro, where he led business development for sugar, ethanol and energy products. He also served as Vice President of the International Division at Eco-Energy Inc., focused on global ethanol marketing and trading.
Vassellucci holds a Bachelor’s degree in Data Processing and Business from Mackenzie University, Brazil.
